The problem was an erroneous listing with OpenDNS, which has been resolved. Service should be restored everywhere.

DNS has been restored, but DNS servers at your ISP may have cached "bad" results. These may take up to an hour to clear.

We're having some problems with our DNS servers. FastMail may appear to be unavailable in some places. We're working on it and will have service restored shortly.

The problem was traced to a bug in some access-control cehcking code, which caused some calendar actions to be rejected. The bug has been fixed.

Everything has been stable for the last half-hour so I think we can call this "fixed" for now. We've got work to do to improve our network reliability and will be talking seriously with NYI and Level 3 about it this week.
